What a fantastic night of melodic, foot stomping sea shanties! Thank you to everyone who turned out for our ‘Sea Shanty and Pasties’ Event with the wonderfully talented band, The Pluckateers. We sold out in record time and found ourselves sadly having to turn sales away; we even had people turning up at the boss’ house (aka our chairman, John Puddy) to try and purchase tickets! Following such a successful sell-out evening, we are thrilled to say we will be holding another event later in the year (if not two more!)
“The band were simply delightful. They sang, played and entertained us all night long and we had a fantastic time. Thank you Freshspring for putting this night on, it was exactly what we needed” remarked one lady.
A message from us: thank you all for continuing to support our charity and the Trust’s mission as well as coming out on a Saturday evening to back a local sea shanty band. Everything we’re doing continues to raise awareness around the maritime heritage presence here in Northern Devon and helps us inspire young people with ideas for future careers.
